BIOGRAPHY

It is custom to introduce our lineage when introducing ourselves. My paternal grandparents are Joseph and Annie Potts, and my maternal grand parents are George and Zetta Aginas. My late parents are Joseph and Flora Potts. As a child I was raised on the land and have respect for creation and our way of life. I speak Isga i?abi - Nakota language, we have a great responsibility to protect and preserve our identity, language, and culture. I am the proud mother of three sons (Anton, Armin Jr., and Shelby), and seven grandchildren. I currently live in Edmonton.

For the past 30 years, I have been self employed as a Management Consultant, specializing in working with First Nations, Government, and Industry. The following are some highlights of my background.

worked with Treaty First Nations as an Advisor, Chief of Staff, Director of Operations, Band Manager, Tribal Administrator, RMP Co Manager and Policy Analyst

treaty rights advocate working with my late parents, community elders and leaders, other First Nations, and the Confederacy.

worked extensively with Indigenous people in the areas of, governance and senior management, lead facilitator for program and community development, business and economic development, and event management.

provided management services for strategic initiatives, project development, organizational change, investment readiness, policy development, proposal writing, indigenous and industry relations.

obtained a Bachler’s Degree in Social Work (including a certificate in Native Studies) from the University of Calgary (1992), and a Diploma in Social Work from Grant MacEwan University (1988).
